SeaSCAN worked closely
with Shell Development Company in
Houston to develop the Tri-Cluster® portable point
seismic energy
source. In 1988, the Tri-Cluster® point source worldwide
license
was exclusively awarded to SeaSCAN. SeaSCAN has sublicensed
the Tri-Cluster® to Veritas DGC, Western Geco, Grant
Geophysical,
Input/Output, Paulsson Geophysical, Terra Seismic Services,
Fugro,
Williamson & associates, Halliburton, Baker, Atlas,
and Shell.

The Tri-Cluster® patented
point seismic sound source array, with
various power outputs, has been used on Transition Zone
(TZ), Ocean
Bottom Cable (OBC), 2D, 3D, 4D, Vertical Seismic Profile
(VSP) and
engineering surveys both domestically and internationally.
International Tri-Cluster operations have been performed
all over the world.
